The inspiration for Watery island is lightly based on H.G. Wells’ story “The island of doctor Moreau”.  At first sight, a peaceful scenery but the soundtrack combined with the sudden appearance of birds flying in from odd angles gives it an estranged, dreamy atmosphere.
Although part of the art project “Patterns & rhythms in nature” by Rudolf Boogerman, this short film is also an experiment of suggesting a story line without actually being a story.

Recommended to use stereo speakers to get the best sound experience.
